Firewater Hose Reel Units
Hose reels can be installed throughout the installation and have a distinct advantage over fire hydrants in that the hose reel nozzle can be opened immediately whereas hydrants require the removal and assembly of hose. FPE Sontum offers hose reels with foam application for Class B fires and surface or recessed wall mount hose reels common in living quarters. Central Fire point hose reels store a fire extinguisher and first aid kit or other as required by project.
FPE Sontum designs user-friendly robust hose reels to meet the demanding requirements of the oil and gas industry. The standard design is AISI 316 stainless steel with piping of titanium construction meeting the harsh environmental conditions on an offshore installation. In addition, hose reels are designed to have a minimum pressure drop across the swivel joint to optimize flow and dependent upon the model, a gear operated crank is provided making it easier to rewind the hose after operation.
Project design specifications consistently change. Therefore, FPE Sontum offers options for CuNi or Super Duplex SS piping, cabinet insulation and heaters for cold weather, and pressure control to safely operate the hose reel.
